Industrial Relations Consultant
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Completed Human Resource Management/Industrial Psychology or law degree
Comprehensive knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Bargaining Council Main Agreements and Sectoral Determinations, in addition to the application thereof in practice.
Own transport, valid driver’s licence and willing to travel.
Fully bilingual (minimum: fluent in English and basic Afrikaans)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OUTPUTS:
Chairing disciplinary inquires, facilitating incapacity investigations and grievances.
Assisting companies in restructuring and processes related to operational requirements.
Representing companies at the CCMA and Bargaining Councils in Conciliations and Arbitrations.
Consulting and advising clients on compliance with relevant labour legislation.
Consulting and advising on all IR related issues.
Negotiations with unions on behalf of companies.

Comprehensive knowledge of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE), Employment Equity, Skills Development, Performance Management and HR best practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OUTPUTS:
Analyse company HR requirements, needs and strategy to provide recommendations.
Facilitating workshops and group discussions such as Employment Equity and Training committee meetings.
Customise HR documentation, processes and projects in line with client needs.
Implement HR projects and monitor impact.
Advise, develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Focus areas: Employment Equity, Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment, Performance Management, General HR practices.
